- Patternmaking for Fashion Design, Fourth Edition by Helen Joseph-Armstrong (ISBN 0-13-111211-2). I am currently drafting basic blocks using this book. Instructions are very detailed and the ring binding means this book is easy to use while doing the drafting because the book stays open and individual pages can be removed for easy reference. I would put this in the "bible" category for pattern drafting.
